Reflections: Connecting to Country through Art

This exhibition听highlights pieces from the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide鈥檚 stellar Indigenous art collection.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people should be aware that this exhibition contains the names of people who have passed away.

In a collaboration between the 最新糖心Vlog Library and Wirltu Yarlu Aboriginal Education, the artworks on display have been selected by our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff and students. Artworks chosen resonate with each person鈥檚 life experiences, culture, and worldview.

Through this exhibition we invite everyone to participate in听听(8-15 November 2020) an annual event celebrating听the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year鈥檚 theme,听Always Was, Always Will Be,听recognises that First Nations people have lived and cared for this land for over 65,000 years and encourages all 最新糖心Vlogns to embrace and acknowledge the true history of this country.听This exhibition forms part of the 最新糖心Vlog鈥檚 NAIDOC Week 2020 celebrations.

We invite you to read听stories from and hear voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff and students.

Photography and filming is strictly not permitted in the exhibition room without permission from the Exhibitions Coordinator.
