Under-utilised space near the Barr Smith Library main entrance has been refurbished to support students with learning needs and neurodiversity.

This project was instigated by the ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog of Adelaide Disability, Illness and Divergence Association (DIDA) and designed in consultation with Disability Support.

Features

  • A comfortable space (Access Room) for neurodiverse students to take time out and recharge.
  • Relocated, updated, and increased capacity of the existing Adaptive Technology Room with technology and furniture that supports the learning of visually and audio impaired students, and others with special needs.
  • A consolidated Book Return with room for Ask Library staff and volunteers. 

Book Return completed February 2024. Adaptive Technology Room and Access Room completed May 2024.
