Epigeum: Research Integrity HDR Student Course
The online Research Integrity course is now live for all HDR students.聽 This course replaces the 3 worksheets on the 最新糖心Vlogn Code for Responsible Conduct of Research which are a requirement for the Core Component of the Structured Program (CCSP).聽 All students are required to complete the online course from now on, but if the worksheets have already been completed the AGC will continue to accept them for CCSPs submitted over the next month.聽 Completion of the course counts for 5 CaRST hours in Domain C.
Orthopaedics and Biomechanics PhD Scholarships
We have two exciting projects available for PhD in orthopaedics and biomechanics with fully funded scholarships for domestic applicants. Specifically, the projects will investigate the management of extra-capsular neck of femur fractures (inter-trochanteric fractures), tibial shaft fractures, and humerus shaft fractures.
These projects will use gait analysis and wearable accelerometry to quantify musculoskeletal loading and physical activity patterns in patients enrolled in large randomised controlled trials.
The first project will investigate neck of femur fractures only, the second project will investigate tibial and humeral shaft fractures. These projects may require collaboration with health economists where appropriate to investigate the value for money of the interventions tested. The projects will be supervised by Associate Professor Dominic Thewlis (Biomechanics) and Associate Professor Mark Rickman (Orthopaedic Surgery). We are looking for outstanding candidates with a background in engineering, biomechanics, human movement sciences, or orthopaedics. The scholarships are available to start immediately.
Value: $30,000 per annum for up to three years
Commencement: 2018
