Sea Snakes Regain Colour Vision: A Fascinating Evolutionary Discovery

A recently published journal article by member Associate Professor Kate Sanders, led by PhD Candidate Isaac Rossetto, follows nine species of sea snakes that are identified as having genetic traits for advanced colour vision. A trait that was lost nearly three million years ago due to evolutionary pressures has now returned.
