Staff update: purchasing software
A range of software packages are available through ITDS.Ìý Contact us if what you are looking for is not listed, as there may be an alternative. Requests for software not offered by ITDS should be submitted via the Software Assessment form and once approved attached to a Special Request Requisition in ePro.
Computer and workstation offers for staff and students
Need a new computer or workstation at home?ÌýCompetitively priced computers and other IT equipment are available from preferred supplier CompNow, in a new ITDS initiative. Ergonomic workstations at discounted prices are also available from two office suppliers for home use.

Passcodes required for Zoom
Zoom is enforcingÌýadditional security measuresÌýfor all meetings. As a result,Ìýthe passcode function will be locked to ‘on’ for all Zoom meetings, including existing meetings. ITDS will apply the changes on 13 September. Meeting organisers will need to re-send invitations for any meetings after this date for attendees to join.
Mac update: farewell High Sierra
The Mac High Sierra operating system will soon no longer be supported, which means that if you are on this system, you will need to upgrade to Catalina (free) orÌýyour access to the ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog's network will be restricted or disabled, when using that operating system. Also, Microsoft Office willÌýcease to function on it from October 2020.
