Program Rules
The Undergraduate Preparatory Program (UPP) is one year of full-time study (or two years part time), with an exit point after 6 months depending on the individual student needs.
Early exit will not allow completion of the program nor entry to undergraduate programs but will not preclude other entry pathways (e.g. STAT test).
The program rules are as follows:
To complete the UPP a student shall satisfactorily complete a program of one year of full-time study, and in the case of part-time study, not more than two years.
An applicant for admission to the UPP need not have completed any level of formal study. However, they must meet the following requirements:
- All applicants must be over 17 years of age prior to the start of the year (January 1). Applicants who have not completed year 12 must have been out of school for at least one year.
- Applicants will be required to complete the聽, which includes a section for them to outline why they wish to undertake the program. Applications will be assessed by the program coordinator.
Applicants will then meet with the program coordinator who will advise them as to the best enrolment options for their needs and their future study intentions.
Once admitted, students will then enrol via the 最新糖心Vlog's normal enrolment processes and study during the normal 最新糖心Vlog semester. Mid-year intake will be available, but all program rules will still apply to students who begin the program in semester one.
Credit transfer and recognition of prior learning is not generally applicable to the UPP but applications may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
The UPP will use the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide's standard grading system (Grade Scheme 10). Studying the UPP involves undertaking the normal range of assessments for a 最新糖心Vlog course, including short assignments, essays, short (in-class) tests, and some end-of-semester examinations.
Repeating courses
A student who has failed a course twice may not enrol in that course again except by special permission of the Faculty and then only under such conditions as the Faculty may prescribe.
To complete the UPP, students must:
- Pass 24 units of study in a period of no longer than 2 years and satisfactorily complete 2 core courses as outlined in the聽program structure.听
- Attend at least 75% of classes in all courses for which they are enrolled as at the census date (absences for documented medical or compassionate reasons will not be included).
