My final post!

A person stands with their arms out in front of a sunset.

I have come to the end of my student blogger journey.

For a year and a half, I have been writing about my mental health experience as a uni student. From documenting study burnout to obsessing over grades, from complaining about things that make me stressed and gushing over things that make me happy: it has been rewarding to reflect on the highs and lows of my final couple years at this university.

It has been equally rewarding meeting a team of people who are also navigating the challenges of student lives. I have enjoyed reading their perspectives on the blog and knowing that I am not alone: being a student is a tricky, interesting, and fun time!聽

This has also been a motivating experience. I have written about physical health (the desire to eat a more clean diet or to go on more runs), about study productivity (using time blocking or the pomodoro method) and about improving mental health (increasing socialisation time or talking to a therapist). By doing so, it has been an encouragement to myself to take a more active role in fostering positive health for myself. This final year has been particularly draining on me, so to have these reminders has been amazing.聽

And of course, I believe there is power in words. I have found blogging has both kept me accountable and been cathartic for what I have been going through.聽I have learnt there is certainly many things that mess with our heads during university鈥攂ut equally, systems, strategies, and people, who can help make sense of the mess.

All the best to everyone for 2024!
