ELC Career Development Program for International Study Tours
The International Careers team at the ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog of Adelaide has partnered with the English Language Centre (ELC) to create a bespoke employability learning experience for international short study tour students.
We recognise that some international students want more than a standard English language program when they come to ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog for a short period.Ìý
The ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog of Adelaide is very proud to be able to offer a program that will not only increase students’ÌýEnglish language ability but also improve employability.
Through our expert knowledge of employers and recruitment practices, we are able to complement English language learning with tailored activities that prepare students for applying for jobs and succeeding in the workplace.
-
Workshops
This series of structured workshops will assist students in developing career readiness skills including maximising employability, career planning, job applications and interview strategies.
All the workshops will be delivered by a qualified career professional who will take an interactive approach, with participants doing pair work and group tasks.
-
Mock assessment centre
This interactive workshop will simulate a real-life assessment centre which is often the final stage of the recruitment process of large multinational organisations looking to assess candidates’ professional skills.
Their performance will be graded by our professional assessors and feedback will also be provided to each student at the end of the session.
-
Industry visits
This program also focuses on the connection between local employers and students.
Industry visits take participants into ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlogn workplaces to show them what their profession is all about.
Students will be given the chance to network with professionals in different fields and hear from the experts about their career pathways. Students could also practice networking and relationship building skills learned from career ready workshops.
