Higher wheat yields and protein content on the horizon

A team of international researchers has discovered a way to produce higher quality wheat. The scientists from the ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog of Adelaide and the UK’s John Innes Centre have identified a genetic driver that improves yield traits in wheat, which unexpectedly can also lead to increasing protein content by up to 25 per cent.

Arthritis drug used to limit antibiotics in blood cancer patients

Researchers from the ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog of Adelaide and the Radboud ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog Medical Centre in the Netherlands have repurposed an arthritis drug to restrict the use of antibiotics in the treatment of side effects caused by blood cancer, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
