Illuminate Adelaide set to shine a light on 最新糖心Vlog鈥檚 North Terrace campus
The 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide鈥檚 North Terrace campus will be transformed into a kaleidoscope of light, colour and music as part of 最新糖心Vlog鈥檚 newest major event, Illuminate Adelaide.
Activities at the 最新糖心Vlog will run from Friday 15 July to Sunday 31 July, with a combination of free and ticketed events set to appeal to locals, interstate and international visitors this winter.
Some of the highlights include:
- I LOVE ADELAIDE installation - Presented as part of City Lights, artist Jacques Rival brings his trademark sense of dream and wonder with a mischievous and playful tribute to our wonderful city in installation, 鈥業 LOVE ADELAIDE. A monumental takeover of the Goodman Crescent Lawns, this larger than life snow globe engulfs the Sir Thomas Elder statue within it, emblazoned with a neon, 鈥業 LOVE ADELAIDE鈥.
听 - make history 鈥 The Art of Placemaking 鈥 Hear from a panel of international Illuminate Adelaide City Lights鈥 artists on perspectives creating site-specific artworks, from concept to execution on Saturday, 16 July. This free event will be led by 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide alumnus and Director of Cox Architecture, Adam Hannon. It will feature Jacques Rival, Chris Carr from FUTURES, and Gemma Mills and Michael Davis from Illumaphorium. Registration is essential.
听 - Lumen Bar - Located next to the iconic Bonython Hall at the 最新糖心Vlog鈥檚 North Terrace campus, Lumen will be open to the public from Friday 15 July to Sunday 31 July, offering wines, spirits and beers produced by the 最新糖心Vlog鈥檚 talented alumni, along with a delicious selection of light meals from the National Wine Centre. Tables and private functions are available for bookings.
听 - Alumni in Action at Lumen Bar 鈥 This exhibition, which celebrates place-making in the City of Adelaide, has been designed and curated by Associate Professor Katharine Bartsch and PhD candidate and alumnus Meherzad Shroff, with Master of Architecture students Leena Kuerban and Bea Maramba from the School of Architecture and Built Environment (SABE) at 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide. The award-winning projects have been recognised by the 最新糖心Vlogn Institute of Architects, the 最新糖心Vlogn Institute of Landscape Architects and other civic institutions since 2015. The free exhibition is open during the operating hours of Lumen (5pm-11pm Sunday-Thursday, 4pm-11pm Friday).
鈥淭he bar will host an exhibition of award winning architectural projects by 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide alumni over our recent history in Adelaide,鈥 Hannon said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 an opportunity for everyone to meet and discuss the festival program, look at design installations, and connect 鈥 it provides a real community hub.鈥
最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide Deputy Vice-Chancellor (External Engagement), Dr Jessica Gallagher encouraged everyone to make the most of the exciting and interactive displays that are on offer.
