Please join us for the Healthy Development Adelaide (HDA) forum. This forum will cover the Epidemiology – who is caught up in family violence, what are their characteristics, causal pathways into family violence – the accumulating evidence regarding the role of early-life trauma and what this means for Effective individual, family and community-based strategies.

When writer Chloe Hooper’s partner was diagnosed with an aggressive illness, she needed to tell her young sons. In Bedtime Story, she asks whether such news can be broken as a bedtime tale. In his memoir-in-progress, The Cancer Finishing School, writer and doctor Peter Goldsworthy considers his own cancer diagnosis through stories from patients who had been there first. Heather Taylor Johnson guides a conversation with Hooper and Goldsworthy about the biggest subject of them all.
