About Chaplaincy
In addition to overall chaplaincy services to the university community, chaplains welcome any opportunity to provide a range of services, including:
- Contributing to community building, equity, justice and peace-making on campuses
- Being available to contribute, from a faith perspective, to academic conversations in matters of social and academic policy
- Fostering ongoing exploration of spirituality from intellectual and practical perspectives
- Offering mediation, restoration and healing in situations of conflict
- Liaison with and referral to other professional serviers, support agencies and faith communities
- Encouraging and leading discussion groups relating to faith and belief systems
- Conducting regular theological studies and discussion groups
- Leading worship and providing opportunities for prayer, and the observance of festival and rituals within their own faith traditions
- Celebrating weddings and anniversaries, and conducting funerals and memorials.
Chaplains are available to meet you by appointment and conduct a range of meetings and discussion groups using this space. Members of the university community are welcome to use this space for prayer and personal reflection when it is not being used for other activities.
