SAiGENCI researchers awarded funding through NHMRC program
Two SAiGENCI research groups are among nine from the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences awarded funding through the latest round of the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Ideas Grants.

Professor Lisa Butler, Program Lead, Resistance Prevention and Head of the Prostate Cancer Research Group, was awarded $1,161,539 for her project using PRO-RUST therapy to trigger prostate cancer ferroptosis.
Dr Mohamed Saad, Postdoctoral Researcher, Cancer and Immune Signalling Laboratory (CISL), Tumour Inflammation and Immunotherapy program, received $1,052,410 to examine the novel role of protease-driven ectodomain shedding in small cell lung cancer.
