International Student Welcome

Join us for your full-day International Student Welcome program on Monday 24 February! Explore the city of Adelaide and your new campus, connect with fellow students from around the world and learn valuable tips and resources to help you succeed at university. You'll also have the chance to explore the support services available to you, discover student clubs and sports teams, and enjoy a delicious lunch and other treats - all included in the day!

Program sessions are your opportunity to learn about your program while meeting and hearing from your academics, current students, and peers. Attendance is essential.


Discover Adelaide

Orientation is filled with activities and excursions to help you get settled into life in Adelaide with events exclusive to international students.

Join us for a great trip to Cleland Wildlife Park and get up close to Aussie animals like kangaroos, koalas, echidnas and many more 馃馃惃馃!

Our bus will depart at 8:30am, will then bring you back to uni for a free lunch on Barr Smith Lawns at 12:45pm! Choose the session below that fits in your O'Week schedule.听

International students under the age of 18 are required to attend this welcome session on Tuesday 25th February 2pm 鈥 3pm in Hughes 323. Important information will be covered such as:

Higher Degree Research (HDR) International Student Welcome

Join the Adelaide Graduate Research School and International Student Support (Wednesday 26th February 10am 鈥 12pm in Hughes 113) to:

  • Find out important information on managing your candidature, leave conditions, support services, scholarships and more
  • Hear from a current HDR student about their experiences
  • Network and make connections with other new HDR students

Sponsored students are invited to join this welcome event on Thursday 27th February 2pm 鈥 4pm in Union House Function Room 1. You鈥檒l get to:

  • Learn about your responsibilities as a university student, the university鈥檚 obligations to you and what support is available
  • Meet other sponsored students and professional and academic staff
