The ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlogn String Quartet is taking to the stage across Europe this month with its first performance at the International String Quartet Biennale in Amsterdam this week.

A partner of the ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog of Adelaide, it holds the position of ‘quartet in residence’ at the ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog.

The ASQ will present three unique programs at the biennale, featuring six works by ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlogn composers including the world premiere of Nyilamum-song cycles, a First Nations-led work by Yorta Yorta Dja Dja Wurrung, Dr Lou Bennett AM, co-composed with Paul Stanhope

Further engagements in the Netherlands include a reception at the ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlogn embassy and an appearance on national Dutch radio.

Following the biennale, the quartet will travel to Italy where they will perform at the iconic Quirinale Palace and at high-profile diplomatic engagements for the ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlogn Embassy in Rome and the ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlogn Embassy to the Holy See.

According to ASQ Chief Executive Angelina Zucco, the European performances provide a major opportunity for the ASQ to build its international connections made possible through the generous support of Arts South ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog and the ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlogn Embassy in Rome.
