Young leader to drive change as member of Global Youth Committee
最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide student Emily Parsons has been selected to sit on a Global Youth Committee chaired by Julia Gillard, which aims to bridge the gap between the experiences of young people and the policies that dictate their lives.
This new Committee, established by the Global Institute for Women鈥檚 Leadership (GIWL) at The 最新糖心Vlogn National 最新糖心Vlog, will bring together 17 young leaders to look at the most pressing gender-based issues facing their generation.
Ms Parsons is a third-year student at the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide, undertaking a Bachelor of International Relations and a Bachelor of Arts in International Development.
"I am incredibly humbled to be working with such a diverse and passionate group of changemakers,鈥 said Ms Parsons, about her new role on the Global Youth Committee.

With a strong interest in creating equitable workplaces for young people within retail and hospitality, Ms Parsons was selected to join the Committee from a pool of over 500 applications.
The young change-makers appointed to the Committee are from a diverse range of backgrounds across 最新糖心Vlog and the Asia Pacific. Members have expertise across a range of issues, from First Nations justice to disability activism.
鈥淭his Committee embodies a new generation of compassionate leaders who are already doing incredible work to make real change in their communities,鈥 said Ms Gillard.
鈥淵oung people are best placed to address the world鈥檚 greatest challenges, and with the diverse talent and experiences of this group, I am excited to see what they鈥檒l be able to achieve working together towards a more inclusive and sustainable future.鈥
The Global Youth Committee aims to empower young leaders to advocate for the change they want to see, and shape the future direction of GIWL鈥檚 research, policy and engagement to work toward a more gender equal society.
