This symposium which explores the interplay of gender, authority and emotion in the medieval and early modern world has been organised by Claire Walker, Paula Plastić, and Grace Waye-Harris of the School of Humanities, and will take place on 15 November 2024. Speakers include leading ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlogn and international scholars, postgraduate researchers, and the keynote "Harnessing the Power of Youthful Beauty: Women and Cosmetic Culture in Early Modern Europe" will be presented by art historian Erin Griffey from the ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog of Auckland.
