Institutional Land Ownership and Conservation Practice Adoption

This School of Economics and Public Policy seminar discusses the shift in farmland ownership from individuals to institutions since the 1980s. Owner-operated farmland decreased from 37% in 2017 to 32% in 2022. Preliminary findings highlight the relationship between ownership and conservation incentives.
