The assassination of President John F. Kennedy sixty years ago elicited an outpouring of grief. Many condolence letters addressed to Jacqueline Kennedy contained music composed in honour of her husband. This commemorative event comprises readings and music, much of which is to be performed publicly for the first time. Tuesday 28 November, 6 pm. Elder Hall, North Terrace campus.

The Afterlife of Patrick White

Great Novelists and Public Memory David Marr’s landmark biography of Patrick White was published thirty years ago soon after White’s death in 1990. Marr is a journalist and broadcaster who has worked for the ABC, Fairfax and now the Guardian. He has also published a number of works on ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlogn politics.
