The Health Equity Learning Lab Oz (HELLO) is organised by Stretton Health Equity, ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog of Adelaide, as part of the National Health and Medical Research Council funded ‘Restoring the Fair Go’ research initiative to bring together civil society, public servants, policy makers, and academics who seek to achieve policy change for a healthier and more equitable society.
This is the second HELLO webinar and will feature Stretton Health Equity Director of Research Dr Toby Freeman, and Research Fellow Dr Connie Musolino. Dr Freeman will present on the Punching Above their Weight Network’s research framework for comparative analysis of country health and health equity outcomes, and Dr Musolino will present preliminary findings from the Restoring the Fair Go mapping of civil society organisations in ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog who are advocating for health equity.
Dr. Toby Freeman is a Senior Research Fellow and the Director of Research at Stretton Health Equity, part of the ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog of Adelaide's Stretton Institute. His core research interest is how to redress growing health inequities. His areas of research include primary health care, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, healthy public policy, and the social determinants of health.
Dr. Connie Musolino is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Stretton Health Equity working on the NHMRC funded project ‘Restoring the Fair Go’ and the ARC funded project ‘History of Community Health’. Connie is a social science and public health qualitative researcher interested in the social determinants of health and health equity, health promotion, gender and health, public policy, and civil society advocacy in ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog.
