Innovations for value-chain-integrity – Blockchain and food products

Please note: The livestream link will be available on 24 May on the .

Where our food comes from is becoming an increasing concern for us all. Pioneering agri-tech companies using blockchain technology and/or other technologies help to address issues of food origin. We are a research team consisting of academics from both ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog and Japan who are seeking to stimulate discussions on how and where blockchain technology can be further integrated into international supply chains.

We are planning a symposium to be held in Japan in May 2023 to enhance collaborations and engagements between ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlogn and Japanese consultants and scholars, as well as between ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlogn producers and Japanese consuming industries. Our aim is to demonstrate the higher value that ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlogn products can command, further enhancing trade and increase export opportunities for ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlogn producers in Japan. In this way, we believe we can increase Japanese consumer confidence in ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlogn sourced food products and boost bilateral relationships between the two countries.

This event is organised and sponsored by the ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog of Adelaide and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog-Japan society.
