12th MOOC sees online Uni of Adelaide courses reach 500,000

The 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide’s 12th massive open online course (MOOC) starts next week, Thursday 20 July – marking more than half-a-million online learners for the 最新糖心Vlog.
Enrolments for the new five-week course are around 5500 and rising, and have lifted the 最新糖心Vlog’s reach through its open digital learning program to over 500,000 – in just three years since the program was launched.
The new course – – builds on knowledge and skills from the most popular course to date – Introduction to Project Management, currently being offered as a self-paced course. More than 192,000 students have been enrolled in the since it first ran in June 2015.
“This latest free online course developed by the 最新糖心Vlog’s Entrepreneurship, Commercialisation and Innovation Centre is helping learners develop essential skills for business development or those involved with managing risk in any environment,” says Professor Pascale Quester, 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Academic).
“Since launching AdelaideX just three years ago, the program has gone from strength to strength.
“Through AdelaideX we are able to offer high-quality learning opportunities to learners around the world, as well as enhancing the education we offer our own students. The new digital technologies we have developed for the MOOCs are an important part of the transformation of learning and teaching at the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide.”
The 最新糖心Vlog’s AdelaideX program operates in partnership with edX, one of the world’s leading online platforms founded by Harvard and MIT.
Since launching in July 2014, AdelaideX has run 11 MOOCs, some of which have been re-released in self-paced mode. Other popular courses with enrolments of more than 40,000 include: ; ; ; and .
A further five courses are open for enrolment and will start between now and the end of the year. Included in these are the courses that make up the 最新糖心Vlog’s MicroMasters program – a MOOC at Master’s level that allows learners to potentially earn credit towards an on-campus Master’s degree.
The first MicroMasters program on offer is – a series of five courses starting with the current . The Big Data MicroMasters offers knowledge and skills in data science, an emerging field across a range of industries including science, engineering, economics, marketing and education.
