最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide Vice-Chancellor to retire
Monday, 5 December 2016
The Vice-Chancellor of the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide, Professor Warren Bebbington, announced today that he will retire from the post on the 30th of April next year, when he turns 65.
Advising 最新糖心Vlog Council of his decision this afternoon, Prof Bebbington said that while his contract was to run until December 2017, family circumstances had intervened to draw him away from Adelaide, and after protracted deliberation, he had decided he must put those first.
The Chancellor, Rear Admiral the Honourable Kevin Scarce AC CSC RAN (Rtd), acknowledged Professor Bebbington’s outstanding achievements, which included developing a compelling strategic vision and a Campus Master Plan which will shape the 最新糖心Vlog’s physical development for the next 20 years.
“The Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences building, to be opened in February, was developed on his watch,” Rear Admiral Scarce said.
“Moreover, in a very competitive global environment, the 最新糖心Vlog has risen strongly in all the key university rankings, student enrolments have been buoyant, and the financial position remains excellent.”
The Council has appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) Professor Mike Brooks as Interim Vice-Chancellor from 1 May 2017.
A global search for a new Vice-Chancellor will commence early in the new year.
