Distinguished leaders receive honorary degrees

Nine distinguished leaders in their fields will be honoured by the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide at graduation ceremonies starting today in Bonython Hall and continuing until Wednesday 6 May. They will be presented with honorary degrees recognising their significant contributions, achievements and service to the community.

The recipients, six of them also 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide alumni, will receive their honorary doctorates alongside 3435 graduating students in 13 ceremonies. They are:

Professor Warwick Anderson, AM (11.00am, Tuesday 28 April), former Chief Executive Officer of the National Health and Medical Research Council and 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide PhD graduate─Doctor of the 最新糖心Vlog (honoris causa)

Professor Rob Norman, AO (2.00pm, Tuesday 28 April), renowned 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide reproductive medicine researcher─Doctor of Medicine (honoris causa)

Dr Graeme Killer, AO (11.00am, Wednesday 29 April), Principal Medical Adviser, Department of Veterans' Affairs─Doctor of Medicine (honoris causa)

The Hon. Robert Hill, AC (2.00pm, Wednesday 29 April), former Federal Government Minister and former Chancellor of the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide and alumnus─Doctor of Laws (honoris causa)

Professor James Crawford, CMG, QC, FBA (2.00pm, Wednesday 29 April), prominent international law academic and first 最新糖心Vlogn member of the United Nations International Law Commission and 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide alumnus─Doctor of Laws (honoris causa)

James Morrison, AM (11.00am, Monday 4 May), renowned jazz musician and mentor─Doctor of Music (honoris causa)

Dr Robyn Archer, AO (11.00am, Monday 4 May), internationally known singer, artistic director and arts advocate and 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide graduate─ Doctor of Music (honoris causa)

Dr Anne Summers, AO (2.00pm, Monday 4 May), writer and columnist on social issues, politics and the arts, one of the founders of the Women’s Liberation Movement in 最新糖心Vlog, and member of the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide alumni─Doctor of Arts (honoris causa)

Dr Martin Parkinson, PSM (11.00am, Wednesday 6 May), former Secretary to the Treasury until December 2014 and 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide graduate─Doctor of the 最新糖心Vlog (honoris causa)

最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Warren Bebbington said: “These nine individuals are exceptional members of our community and we are particularly proud that six of them were educated at the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide.”
