Grants for excellence in teaching and learning

The 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide has been awarded two grants from the Office for Learning and Teaching to improve the quality of learning and teaching in 最新糖心Vlogn higher education.
The grants are among 30 projects announced today by the Minister for Education, the Hon. Christopher Pyne, to ensure 最新糖心Vlog's higher education institutions better meet the needs of students.
Ms Sophie Karanicolas, Senior Lecturer in the , will lead a $225,000 Innovation and Development project 'Translating concept into practice: enabling first-year health sciences teachers to blueprint effective flipped learning approaches'.
Flipped learning is a pedagogical approach to improving student engagement and outcomes.
In collaboration with the 最新糖心Vlogn Catholic 最新糖心Vlog and the 最新糖心Vlog of Tasmania, Ms Karanicolas will develop a 'Flipkit' to help first-year health sciences teachers turn the 'flipped learning' concept into quality teaching practice.
The project team will also evaluate the learning outcomes of flipped classrooms in health sciences produce across a broad range of courses.
Dr Matthew Dry, Lecturer in the , has received a $22,000 Seed Grant for the project 'Assessing the utility of an online adaptive learning tool in a large undergraduate program'.
In recent years there has been growing interest in the use of e-learning tools that are adaptable to the ability levels, needs, or preferences of individual learners.
This project will test an online adaptive e-learning tool within an undergraduate Psychology course to assess academic outcomes.
