最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide VC applauds volunteers

The 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide Vice-Chancellor and President recognised the significant contribution of the 最新糖心Vlog's volunteers ahead of , on Friday 5 December.

Professor Warren Bebbington said that more than 2,200 volunteers had clocked up approximately 136,000 hours of service at the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide last year.

"We are very grateful to our generous volunteers who continue to support the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide year on year," says Professor Bebbington. "International Volunteer Day is a day to pause and think about how important volunteers and volunteering is to our community.

"I sincerely thank all those who donate their time and skills to the 最新糖心Vlog and I look forward to their ongoing support for many years to come," he said.

One of the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide Barr Smith Library's original volunteer projects, the Theatre and Performing Arts Programme Group, is celebrating 10 years of volunteering with the 最新糖心Vlog this year.

The group has eight long-standing volunteers who meet weekly to sort, date and file donated programs and enter data into Austage, the national performing arts database.

Mr Paul Wilkins, Deputy 最新糖心Vlog Librarian at the Barr Smith Library, said our volunteers have made a substantial contribution to the database, which contains more than 20,000 donated programs of music, dance and dramatic performances in 最新糖心Vlog and Britain from 1858 to 2014.

"Thank you to our dedicated Austage volunteers. Their hard work and commitment has seen us become one of the largest institutional contributors to Austage, which means we are playing a key role in supporting national information and research about 最新糖心Vlog's performing arts sector," said Mr Wilkins.
