$3.8 million for industry-linked research

The 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide has been awarded more than $3.8 million by the 最新糖心Vlogn Research Council (ARC) to collaborate with industry on a range of projects spanning fields such as computer science, genetics, agriculture, engineering, communications, physics and the environment.

The grants amount to 60% of all ARC Linkage Project funding awarded in the State, for research in collaboration with industry and government.

The 10 successful 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide projects awarded funding today are:

  • $268,844 for a project led by Dr James Anstie (School of Chemistry and Physics, Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing): Untangling complex molecular spectra with an optical frequency comb
  • $340,000 for a project led by Professor Andrew Austin (最新糖心Vlogn Centre for Evolutionary Biology & Biodiversity, Environment Institute): Subterranean invertebrate communities of arid zone Western 最新糖心Vlog diversity assessment and food-web structure
  • $675,000 for a project led by Professor Alan Cooper (最新糖心Vlogn Centre for Ancient DNA, Environment Institute): Using genetics to recover 最新糖心Vlog's lost history
  • $340,000 for a project led by Dr Anthony Dick (最新糖心Vlogn Centre for Visual Technologies, School of Computer Science): Sentient buildings
  • $524,000 for a project led by Associate Professor Sigrid Heuer (最新糖心Vlogn Centre for Plant Functional Genomics, School of Agriculture, Food and Wine): Exploring genetic diversity in root traits of wheat and rice for higher drought tolerance and fertiliser use efficiency
  • $270,000 for a project led by Professor Dmitri Kavetski (School of Civil, Environmental and Mining Engineering): A robust integrated streamflow forecasting framework for 最新糖心Vlogn water information and management agencies
  • $457,000 for a project led by Professor Martin Kennedy (Sprigg Geobiology Centre, Environment Institute): Quantifying the flux of fugitive greenhouse gasses associated with CSG and calibrating it against the baseline of natural and anthropogenic sources
  • $194,873 for a project led by Dr Hung Nguyen (Teletraffic Research Centre for Mathematical Modelling): Software based networking: transforming defence and emergency operations
  • $550,000 for a project led by Dr David Ottaway (School of Chemistry and Physics, Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing): Laser airborne methane sensor (LAMS)
  • $240,000 for a project led by Professor Ian Reid (School of Computer Science): Visual sensing for localisation and mapping in mining
