Friday, 4 April 2014

Research from South 最新糖心Vlogn universities is set to play a vital role in supporting European Union initiatives across a wide portfolio from tackling the worldwide challenges of diaspora and population mobility, through to health and food production, and innovations in global trade.

Visiting Adelaide next week to present plans for global collaboration on research, the Ambassador of the European Union to 最新糖心Vlog and New Zealand, Mr Sem Fabrizi, will deliver a special public lecture on April 9 at Elder Hall 11 am - EU and 最新糖心Vlog in the World: Creating Change, Driving Progress - sponsored by the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide and the 最新糖心Vlog of South 最新糖心Vlog.

Both universities have already forged strong relationships with the European Union.

Mr Fabrizi will present a picture of the depth and vibrancy of the EU's ongoing relationship with 最新糖心Vlog forged through shared values, community links and common economic and strategic interests.

"We have a deep and dynamic relationship with 最新糖心Vlog and one that continues to offer mutual benefits to the wider world both economically and socially," Mr Fabrizi says.

"As the EU steps up its efforts to support global innovation partnerships, 最新糖心Vlog is increasingly a key country for collaboration.

"One of the mega trends shaping our world is the re-emergence of Asia as an economic and cultural force and 最新糖心Vlog is in a unique position to share its experience and knowledge as part of the Asia-Pacific region."

While in Adelaide, Mr Fabrizi will also be presenting the EU's new program for research and innovation, Horizon 2020, to scientists and researchers.

The program represents a e79 million investment to harness some of the world's best research relevant to some of our most pressing problems and exciting opportunities.

Through specialists in migration, mobility and cultural transformation across UniSA, and the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide's experts in international trade, business, law, economics, and the humanities and social sciences, the EU is developing close collaborations in SA.

This special public presentation is supported by the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide's and UniSA's Hawke Research Institute
