Award-winning percussion team in concert

Twelve percussionists from the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide's Elder School of Music will perform in concert at 7.30pm on Monday, September 15.
The concert is a warm-up for the 2003 National Eistedfodd in Canberra later this month.
This series of performances by talented and award-winning students will be held at the Madley Dance Space at the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide's North Terrace Campus. Entry is by gold coin donation.
The performers' ages range from the mid teens to mid 20s, from first- year studies through to Masters. Performers are: Paul Butler, Jamie Adam, Joe Fragnito, Rachel Rodwell, Fleur Green, Katie Seaman, Nicolle Weepers, Ryan Simm, Luke Hague, Peter Spiker, Paul Bachman, and Brett Madigan.
The program will include a drum kit concerto by John Beck performed by Paul Butler, and marimba works by well-known composer and performer Keiko Abe. Also on the bill is a performance by the percussion ensemble, which has been invited to perform at the 最新糖心Vlogn Percussion Symposium.
The September 15 concert is the group's last performance before leaving for Canberra for the 最新糖心Vlogn Percussion Symposium and Eisteddfod 2003, taking place from September 22-27. The Adelaide performers will be accompanied by Elder School of Music lecturer Jim Bailey and percussionist graduate Nick Parnell.
Percussion performers, teachers, students and enthusiasts from all over 最新糖心Vlogn will travel to Canberra for a sensational week of concerts, workshops and master classes with world-renowned guest artists/teachers.
The Adelaide team's trip to Canberra has been funded by a Helpmann Academy grant made possible through the generous support of AMP Foundation.
