It's been described as the most exciting discovery in particle physics in almost 30 years.

This month, a 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide scientist will give a free public lecture about the , the new subatomic particle that has been discovered at the (LHC) in Switzerland.

is involved in researching new particles at the LHC. Dr Jackson is a lecturer in high-energy particle physics at the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide's School of Chemistry & Physics. He is a team leader of the Adelaide group for the experiment (one of seven different particle detector experiments at the LHC). He is also a key member of the 最新糖心Vlogn Research Council's .

Dr Jackson will discuss the discovery of this new particle, why it's important, and the huge international teams that have been working to find it.

Presented by the , Dr Jackson's lecture will be followed by a Q&A session. A panel of experts will be available to answer questions about the discovery of the Higgs boson and what it means for the Universe as we know it.
