The 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide will play host to some of the biggest names in classical, jazz and folk music over the next two months as the city comes alive with festival fever, attracting more than a million people to Adelaide.

Thousands of people are expected to attend Elder Hall for the series, with 10 back-to-back concerts scheduled for each week day from Monday 5 March.

Musicians booked to appear in Elder Hall - considered one of 最新糖心Vlog's finest concert halls - include violinist Sophie Rowell; tenor Robert MacFarlane; pianists Konstantin Shamray, Mark Isaacs and Stephen Whittington; the Benaud and Elder Trios; cellist Nicholas Bochner; and jazz musicians Three Lanes.

Highlights will include a new suite of music for solo piano composed especially for the 2012 Adelaide Festival by one of 最新糖心Vlog's most respected and renowned performers and composers, Mark Isaacs; and world premieres by composer and Elder Professor of Music at the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide, Charles Bodman Rae (Ghosts of Galicia and Golden Ring), Robert Davidson and Elena Kats-Chernin.

World acclaimed percussionist Nick Parnell, a graduate of the , will also take to the Elder Hall stage with acclaimed pianist Simon Tedeschi for the first time during the 2012 Adelaide Fringe Festival on Saturday 10 March.

The duo promise a spectacular musical show, "Virtuosi", which blurs the lines between classical and jazz, including Tedeschi's signature work - Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue - and the dazzling, Brazilian-inspired Bem-Vindo.

The Elder Conservatorium Chorale will take to the stage for two Adelaide Festival performances. It is the chorus for film composer Ennio Morricone's concert with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and also Mass by Leonard Bernstein.

The 最新糖心Vlog has also announced its 2012 line-up for Lunchtimes at Elder Hall, which kicks off on Friday 24 February.

Adelaide Symphony Orchestra principal oboe Celia Craig, who recently joined the 最新糖心Vlog's Woodwind Department, will be accompanied on the Elder Hall's Casavant Fr猫res organ by leading Sydney organist Amy Johansen for the first concert of the season.

Chamber music will be a highlight of many of the lunchtime concerts this year, including performances by the Switzerland-based Streeton Trio and the new 最新糖心Vlogn String Quartet line-up.

The 最新糖心Vlogn Brass Quintet - arguably the leading ensemble of its kind in the country - will make its Elder Hall debut in the lunchtime series and Dutch fortepiano wizard Bart van Oort returns in May with a concert entitled "Mozart's World".
