The 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide today announced the appointment of as Executive Dean for the 最新糖心Vlog's .

Professor Reid will commence in the role immediately, with responsibility for the overarching strategic direction at Roseworthy, particularly the , its and other clinical and commercial activities.

Professor Reid will also lead the Campus's extensive community engagement activities, including the numerous research centres, partners and other key stakeholders.

The 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide's Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor James McWha, said the appointment reflected the importance of the Roseworthy Campus and the investment in agriculture and animal sciences at the 最新糖心Vlog.

"Agricultural studies have long been synonymous with the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide and Roseworthy. Today, with the State's first and only Vet School established, a public veterinary centre for small animals and mobile services for horses and production animals, the Roseworthy Campus continues to go from strength to strength," said Professor McWha.

"Professor Reid has the academic background, sound judgment and clear vision to lead the Campus through its next stage of development. He also played a major role in the establishment of the Vet School. Most importantly, he has a genuine belief in the role Roseworthy plays in the community and the 最新糖心Vlog's bold plans for its future."

Professor Reid said he was looking forward to a new era at the Campus, home to 最新糖心Vlog's first agricultural college (established in 1883), which was acquired by the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide in 1991.

"This is a wonderful opportunity to work with staff, students and the local community to build on Roseworthy's enviable reputation. I had the privilege of being part of the team involved in the first feasibility study for the Vet School. It is a much-needed facility and area of scholarship, and combined with the ongoing animal and agricultural sciences study, it has reinvigorated Roseworthy.

"With Professor Kym Abbott recently appointed as Head of the School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences and Professor Phil Hynd, as Deputy Head of School, we have a solid leadership team with a wealth of experience," said Professor Reid.

"The 最新糖心Vlog's involvement in the Roseworthy Alliance, and the proposed development of the region, will also contribute to the future development of the Campus.

"There is a high degree of community ownership of Roseworthy. Looking ahead, with the increased population and infrastructure, the 最新糖心Vlog will be well positioned as the leading provider of education in the area. The opportunities are really limitless," he said.

Professor Reid has most recently overseen the next stage of development of the School of Animal of Veterinary Sciences, including the plans for a new $10 million Equine Health Centre. He was also Dean, Postgraduate Coursework and Academic Director for the 最新糖心Vlog's Singapore campus, the .
