Nobel Laureate and 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide Professor of Literature John Coetzee has won the Arts Award in this year's .

Professor John Coetzee received the in 2003 and his novels Life and Times of Michael K and Disgrace have both been awarded the Booker Prize.

He joined the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide in 2002 and, since then, has mentored students in the 最新糖心Vlog's Discipline of English and Creative Writing, .

He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the 最新糖心Vlog in 2005 and, recently, lent his name to the 最新糖心Vlog's new .

The winner of the Health Award is an affiliate of the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide. Associate Professor John Greenwood is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Discipline of Surgery, .

Associate Professor Greenwood is Director of the Royal Adelaide Hospital's world-class Burns Unit, and has developed a new burns treatment that will drastically reduce the pain, recovery time and treatment costs for burns patients.

The 2011 South 最新糖心Vlogn of the Year category awards were presented at a special ceremony at the Adelaide Town Hall last night by the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor of Adelaide, Stephen Yarwood.

Winners were recognised in the categories of Arts, Business, Community, Education, Environment, Health, Innovation, Tourism and Sports.

All winners of the 2011 South 最新糖心Vlogn of the Year Awards were selected from both public and peer nominations. Each year Advantage SA, with the support of the Government of South 最新糖心Vlog, recognises inspirational South 最新糖心Vlogns through the South 最新糖心Vlogn of the Year Awards.

The Awards celebrate and profile individuals or organisations that have demonstrated a consistent record of excellence and made a positive impact on the State.
