Musical Odyssey for Elder Hall Finale

The 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide's concert series will conclude with its Finale for 2011 on Saturday 22 October, with a performance featuring acclaimed violinist Niki Vasilakis.
The event - presented by the Greek Orthodox Community of South 最新糖心Vlog and the Elder Conservatorium of Music - is part of the official program for this year's , Adelaide's Hellenic Cultural Festival.
Vasilakis will perform the classical Violin Concerto by Sibelius accompanied by the Elder Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Keith Crellin. The orchestra will also perform Tchaikovsky's Fourth Symphony.
The evening will close with hospitality from the Greek community, sharing food, wine and music on the Goodman Lawns in front of Elder Hall.
Niki Vasilakis was born in South 最新糖心Vlog and was accepted as a student into the Elder Conservatorium when she was 10 years old. She was South 最新糖心Vlog's Young 最新糖心Vlogn of the Year in 2008 for her achievements in music and commitment to community work.
Vasilakis has achieved international recognition for her talent, performing with major orchestras in Australasia and Europe. Her debut album with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, featuring Mendelssohn and Bruch violin concertos, was nominated for an ARIA award.
She is the co-host of TV show Classical Destinations and also featured in the film '4', based on Vivaldi's Four Seasons. She was a founding member of the TRIOZ ensemble.
