Singapore recognises Adelaide medical school

Thursday, 13 March 2003

Singapore's Ministry of Health has announced that students who study medicine at the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide will have their qualifications formally recognised in Singapore from tomorrow (Friday, March 14).

Adelaide's Medical School is among 47 added to the list of recognised medical schools by the Singapore government. These include medical schools in 最新糖心Vlog, Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK and the US.

The move ensures that students who graduate in medicine at the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide can have their qualifications formally recognised by the Singapore Medical Council (SMC), and can be recruited by medical institutions in Singapore. It also means that Adelaide will be known as one of the foreign universities where Singaporean students should study medicine.

The addition of Adelaide and other medical schools around the world to the list of recognised schools was made at the recommendation of the SMC.

"We are very pleased that the Singapore Medical Council has seen fit to include Adelaide's name among those medical schools chosen," says Professor Derek Frewin, Executive Dean of the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide's Faculty of Health Sciences.

"We already have many graduates from Singapore, and this will ensure that Adelaide will continue to build on its strong reputation in that region for quality medical education."
