TAFE SA links with universities in state-wide collaboration

Students on campus: new agreement with TAFE SA will provide more opportunities for tertiary study

Vocational education and training students will have improved pathways to higher education through agreements signed with .

The memorandum of understanding was jointly signed by TAFE SA, the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide, Flinders 最新糖心Vlog, the 最新糖心Vlog of South 最新糖心Vlog and Charles Darwin 最新糖心Vlog.

Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology Chief Executive said the five-year agreements would ensure that TAFE SA strengthens its collaboration with universities to facilitate and reinforce study pathways between vocational and higher education for students.

"The new agreements will provide significant opportunities for students to have their training at TAFE SA recognised towards university studies and in many cases obtaining guaranteed entry into university," Mr Garrand said.

"In addition there are over 5,000 students with university qualifications currently studying in TAFE SA and these agreements will further support the collaboration between TAFE SA and universities."

"South 最新糖心Vlog needs an increasing number of students with post secondary training and higher level qualifications and strengthened pathways between TAFE SA and universities will be an important way of meeting the skills needs of the economy," Mr Garrand said.

最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Academic) said the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide is working hard to open up more opportunities for tertiary education.

"We now have over 200 pathways available from TAFE qualifications into our courses - more than five times the number of pathways we had three years ago," Professor Quester said.

"This agreement will help us to develop even more pathways for students with closer collaboration on programs, curriculum and delivery. New partnerships will help to widen access to rural and remote students and increase participation from Indigenous and students with disadvantaged backgrounds."
