Launch of Adelaide's newest medical foundation

The 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide will launch a foundation next month to raise money and awareness for its internationally-renowned , which focuses on research into reproductive health and regenerative medicine.

A gala dinner is being held at in the presence of His Excellency Rear Admiral AC CSC RANR, on Saturday 13 February.

Institute Director says the establishment of the Robinson Foundation will provide opportunities for corporate partnerships, volunteering, donations and bequests to further support the research of the Robinson Institute.

"Adelaide's newest medical research foundation will support life-giving research into the causes and cures of major diseases, as well as preventing illness across generations," Professor Norman says.

"The Robinson Institute brings together a unique blend of more than 300 clinical and research leaders spanning the disciplines of medicine and science, with wide-ranging expertise from epidemiology through to genetics and molecular biology.

"Our researchers concentrate on fundamental clinical and scientific discoveries, with the aim of changing human health and conquering disease.

"By focusing on the earliest stages of life, we are looking at preventing disease and promoting health in children and adults across generations. We are incorporating outstanding laboratory research with clinical investigation to discover more about reproduction, fertility, pregnancy, stem cells and the origins of healthy living.

"This Institute will provide immeasurable benefits to society and for future generations," Professor Norman says.

In 2009 Professor Norman was a dual winner in the awards, taking out top honours in the Health and Science categories for his outstanding contribution to reproductive health and regenerative medicine.

The 最新糖心Vlog's Vice-Chancellor and President, , says the new Robinson Foundation will provide the community with an opportunity to learn more about and support life-giving research.

"The Institute's research is recognised internationally in the scientific community for its quality and relevance. With financial support we can realise significant health outcomes for all 最新糖心Vlogns," Professor McWha says.
