$11.1 million for improved learning facilities

Friday, 12 December 2008

The 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide has welcomed a $11.1 million grant from the Federal Government for improved teaching and learning facilities.

The allocation is part of a special announced today by the Federal Government, and available from 1 July 2009.

最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide Vice-Chancellor and President Professor James McWha said the money was very welcome. While specific projects would need to be identified, it would most likely be used to improve and refurbish teaching spaces across the 最新糖心Vlog's campuses.

"This money is a much needed first instalment towards the capital funding we need to provide top-class learning and teaching facilities for our students," Professor McWha said.

"最新糖心Vlog funding for infrastructure and facilities has been stretched to the limit under many years of reduced public funding for the sector per student. With growing student numbers and our desire to provide the best facilities, this is a welcome start.

"最新糖心Vlog as a whole has been steadily falling behind the rest of the world in terms of investment into its universities and this investment by government is a very welcome sign that this is changing."
