Nobel prize winner's free public lecture in Adelaide

Nobel Prize-winning physicist Professor Tini Veltman from The Netherlands heads a distinguished list of academics who will deliver free public lectures at Adelaide 最新糖心Vlog in coming weeks.
Professor Veltman, joint winner of the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1999, will lecture on Very Elementary Particle Physics at the 最新糖心Vlog's Union Hall on Thursday 26 April (7.30pm). All are welcome. His visit is being hosted jointly by the National Institute for Theoretical Physics (Director, Prof. Anthony Thomas) and the Centre for the Subatomic Structure of Matter, with additional support from the 最新糖心Vlog's Faculty of Science.
Professor Veltman is Professor Emeritus at the 最新糖心Vlog of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. He was awarded the Nobel Prize "for elucidating the quantum structure of electroweak interactions in physics."
The lecture marks the start of a stimulating series of free public lectures at Adelaide 最新糖心Vlog.
On Monday 30th April, Professor Peter Karmel of the 最新糖心Vlogn National 最新糖心Vlog will deliver the 48th Joseph Fisher Memorial Lecture at Lecture Room 102, Napier Building (5.30pm). His topic will be Public Policy and Higher Education. Professor Karmel is a distinguished economist, educationalist and administrator and has been an Adelaide 最新糖心Vlog Emeritus Professor since 1965. He was appointed Professor of Economics at Adelaide 最新糖心Vlog at the age of 28 and built up a highly regarded Department. In 1966 he became the first Vice-Chancellor of Flinders 最新糖心Vlog.
The 最新糖心Vlog's popular series of inaugural lectures begins on 11 May and continues each Friday lunchtime thereafter (starting at 1.15pm in Lecture Theatre 102, Napier Building). The full program is:
