Composer mixes with Hollywood greats

Masters scholar Ashley Klose is in Los Angeles this week, working with some of Hollywood's most successful film composers.
Ashley is one of 12 international film composers - and the only 最新糖心Vlogn - selected to take part in a series of intensive workshops with the creators of such musical scores as Gladiator, Mission Impossible 2, Hannibal, The Lion King, Star Trek, Lost and Thelma & Louise.
Ashley graduated in 2006 with a Masters Degree in Music Composition from the Elder Conservatorium. Prior to graduating he won the national for Film & Television Composing, which recognised his impressive body of work.
The accomplished orchestral composer has worked on 50 short films, 48 television commercials (half of those international), as well as documentaries for SBS, ABC and the commercial stations, and numerous computer games.
His 最新糖心Vlogn film credits include Look Both Ways (winner of Best Film at the 2006 AFI Awards), Thunderstruck and the multi award-winning Lantana (winner of 7 AFI awards in 2002).
Ashley is now on a six-week professional development tour starting in London, and taking in Paris, Los Angeles and Vancouver.
Ashley will complete the in Los Angeles on 3 August. This week he will be working with the likes of Hollywood composers Hans Zimmer, Richard Bellis and Michael Giacchino.
"My goal is to bring international work back to Adelaide. I hope to make a lot of new industry contacts and plan on telling them that Adelaide is home to some of the best creative people in the world," Ashley said.
"I've got meetings lined up with relevant industry contacts, including film producers, directors, production companies, computer game companies and music producers."
