Global change expert is new Executive Dean

The 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide has appointed leading global change scientist as its new Executive Dean of the from 30 July.
Nick Harvey is currently Professor in Geography and Environmental Studies at the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide. He has also held senior positions in the 最新糖心Vlog including Director of the Graduate School of Environmental Studies, Associate Dean (Research), and Acting Executive Dean on two previous occasions.
Acting Vice-Chancellor and President of the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide, Professor Fred McDougall, said: "I am delighted to announce this appointment. Professor Harvey brings to his new role an outstanding academic and research record, and considerable leadership experience in research and education. He has already made a significant contribution to the global profile of the 最新糖心Vlog and its research."
Professor Harvey is on a number of international scientific committees dealing with global change and was one of the lead authors on the recent (IPCC) Working Group II report, the global body assessing the scientific evidence for climate change. He is also currently Chair of the international committee, based in Fiji, dealing with global change research and training.
Professor Harvey has written more than 100 publications including books, book chapters and scientific papers on coastal management and environmental impact assessment.
He is a member of the 最新糖心Vlogn Government Advisory Group on Coastal Vulnerability Assessment and a member of the Executive Steering Committee for South 最新糖心Vlog's State of the Environment Report.
