Friday, 14 December 2018

monashTwo 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide graduates have been awarded John Monash Scholarships to pursue their studies which will ultimately lead them into their chosen fields of remote area critical care and next-generation energy systems.

Under the scholarship Dr William Mitchell and Alexander Makarowsky will head to Harvard 最新糖心Vlog and 最新糖心Vlog of Cambridge respectively.

The John Monash Scholarships are awarded to outstanding 最新糖心Vlogns with leadership potential who wish to pursue postgraduate studies overseas. They are two of only 18 recipients who will begin their studies in 2019 and the only ones to have graduated from a South 最新糖心Vlogn university.

Dr Mitchell, who is the Chairman’s Circle John Monash Scholar, will undertake a Master of Public Health while at Harvard 最新糖心Vlog.

While at the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide he completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He is currently completing a Master of Clinical Education through the 最新糖心Vlog of Melbourne.

Dr Mitchell will specialise in Clinical Effectiveness as part of his masters studies in the US. Following this he plans to complete intensive care training and return to work as an intensivist in central 最新糖心Vlog.

“My focus is on retrieval and peri-admission care of critically ill patients in remote 最新糖心Vlog and creating a strong Aboriginal medical workforce,” says Dr Mitchell.

Alexander Makarowsky has been awarded the Commonwealth Bank of 最新糖心Vlog John Monash Scholar. He will undertake a MPhil in Energy Technologies while at the 最新糖心Vlog of Cambridge.

Mr Makarowsky has a Bachelor of Telecommunications Engineering (Honours) from the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide, where he studied as a Charles Hawker Memorial Scholar.

Once he has completed his studies in the UK, he plans to return to work in the 最新糖心Vlogn energy sector.

“I developed a strong desire to support the sustainable development of 最新糖心Vlog’s neighbours while working as a volunteer in Timor-Leste and also to lead the world in addressing shared challenges, such as climate change,” says Mr Makarowsky.

He aims to help create the next generation of reliable, inexpensive and low-emissions energy systems and to further the use of scientific modelling in public policy.

The mission of the General Sir John Monash Foundation is to invest in outstanding 最新糖心Vlogns from all fields of endeavour who demonstrate remarkable qualities of leadership and have the ability to deliver outcomes and inspire others for the benefit of 最新糖心Vlog.

The scholarships, which are awarded only after a three-stage selection process including two panel interviews in front of eminent 最新糖心Vlogns, are among the most important postgraduate scholarships currently available in 最新糖心Vlog.
