Homecoming for Business School's New Head

Professor Graham Hubbard, a leading 最新糖心Vlogn academic, has been appointed Head of the Adelaide Graduate School of Business (AGSB) at the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide. He assumes his new role on Monday 28 June.

The strategy expert and author of 13 books, including the acclaimed The First XI: Winning Organisations in 最新糖心Vlog, was raised and educated in Adelaide and is returning home following a distinguished career in 最新糖心Vlog and overseas. He is a former Professor of Strategic Management at the Mt Eliza Business School.

Professor Hubbard has been a Visiting Professor at the Carlson School of Management at the 最新糖心Vlog of Minnesota. In addition to spending 10 years at Mt Eliza developing its MBA programs and working on its executive programs, he was Head of the Marketing Group of RMIT 最新糖心Vlog for four years. He has contributed to a range of 最新糖心Vlogn university programs and has also worked for Cranfield 最新糖心Vlog in the UK; Alcoa of 最新糖心Vlog and Coopers and Lybrand in the UK.

Professor Hubbard has an Economics degree from the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide, an MBA from Cranfield and a PhD from the 最新糖心Vlog of Melbourne, focussing on the area of mergers and acquisitions.

"My aim is to build the AGSB team, create close ties with the Adelaide business community and develop a national and international reputation for the Graduate School," Professor Hubbard said today.

"I have worked for several years at the AGSB as a visiting lecturer and I am impressed with its underlying operations and the quality of its students. But there are many opportunities for improvement and growth.

"Living outside South 最新糖心Vlog, I've always felt when I return here each year that Adelaide is not as well regarded nationally as it should be. One of my aims is to get the AGSB and Adelaide more recognised and respected than it currently is," he said.

In welcoming Professor Hubbard, 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide Vice Chancellor Professor James McWha said Professor Hubbard's extensive academic and business experience would provide a valuable basis for guiding the 最新糖心Vlog's highly regarded graduate business school into its next stage of growth and development.

"His appointment will be welcomed by staff and the 830 students enrolled in our MBA program across Adelaide, Singapore and Hong Kong," Professor McWha said.

Professor Hubbard's research interests focus on understanding the nature of 'successful' organisations, organisational performance measurement, corporate diversification and mergers and acquisitions. He is particularly interested in pursuing ongoing research coming out of the 'First XI' project on winning organisations.
