Dr Avinash Upadhya Awarded RRI Step Research Funding

We are delighted to announce that Dr Avinash Upadhya, a valued member of IPAS, has been awarded one of the Robinson Research Institute (RRI) Step Research Funding grants. 听

Dr Upadhya鈥檚 groundbreaking project focuses on non-invasive optical imaging to capture molecular and morphological signatures of advanced maternal age for assessing oocyte and embryo quality. Collaborating with Darren Chow and Tiffany Tan, the project will advance metabolic imaging research by developing a multimodal, label-free optical imaging approach. This innovative method enables non-invasive assessment of oocyte and embryo quality and provides new insights into how these characteristics change with age. 听

This achievement underscores the power of multidisciplinary research, with support and mentorship provided by Research Group leaders Associate Professor Kylie Dunning from RRI and Professor Kishan Dholakia from IPAS. The collaboration between these two institutes highlights the strength of combining expertise from diverse fields to drive impactful science. 听

Congratulations to Dr Upadhya and his team on this well-deserved recognition!
