Physics Careers Fair : A Huge Success!
Last week, we hosted a highly successful Physics Career Fair, thanks to the collaborative efforts of volunteers, partnering companies, guest speakers, and enthusiastic attendees.
The event, organised by , , and (AIP), brought together 50 attendees who eagerly engaged in networking opportunities throughout the evening. A highlight was the national livestream featuring Chief Defence Scientist Professor Tanya Monro AC, along with speakers from the National Measurement Institute and Amazon Web Services (AWS), providing invaluable insights into career opportunities.
Local representatives from Ziltek, GenesisCare, Minelab Metal Detectors, Inovor Technologies, Shoal Group, and Fleet Space Technologies were instrumental in guiding attendees on their career paths. The networking session, complete with pizza and drinks, was a hit, with students actively seeking advice on their future careers.
