​Dr Erinn Fagan-Jeffries 2020 Winner of SA Science Awards - PhD Research Excellence
We are delightedÌý​Dr Erinn Fagan-Jeffries has been recognised for herÌýPhD in discovering and describing new species of parasitoid wasps to better document and understand our biodiversity.
Dr Fagan-Jeffries completed her PhD at the ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog of Adelaide in 2019 and is dedicated to discovering and describing new species of parasitoid wasps to better document and understand our biodiversity.
Dr has won multiple awards for her PhD research. A passionate communicator, she holds a Master of Science Communication Outreach and a Graduate Certificate of Museum Studies and gives numerous public lectures and workshops, and currently runs a school-based citizen science project for students to become involved in entomology.
​She is now an ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlogn Biological Resources Study Postdoctoral Fellow at The ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog of Adelaide,Ìýan Honorary Research Associate at The South ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlogn Museum. and an emerging leader in the field of invertebrate taxonomy.
She is passionate about outreach, and holds a Masters in Science Communication Outreach from the ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlogn National ×îÐÂÌÇÐÄVlog, where she spent a year travelling around to schools and helping to run public science exhibitions with theÌý
She has worked as a science communicator for a not-for-profit science outreach organisation, developing and presenting workshops and interactive science shows to school children and the public. She gives numerous talks and interactive lectures on insects, wasps and biodiversity every year to community groups or schools, and loves sharing the wonderful world of insects with people.
