Abstract
My research has largely been directed towards identifying genes underlying adaptive evolution. I will talk about my work identifying genes responsible for colour pattern switches in the extremely colourful and variable Heliconius butterflies, including ongoing work on finding genes controlling iridescent structural colour in these butterflies.
