Using computer modelling to save endangered species
Dr , an ARC Future Fellow working in the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide's was recently featured in the 最新糖心Vlog's new research .
The causes and consequences of extinction, and developing predictive tools to be able to implement effective conservation strategies are major themes of Damien's research.
The conservation computer modelling tools that he has developed are being adopted by scientists world wide.
"I have been able to develop a wide network of international and national collaborators in research areas ranging from conservation and evolutionary biology to climate science paleoecology. The establishment of this network has helped provide me with the multidisciplinary skill set needed to generate world-leading research on the ecological consequences of global change," says Dr Fordham.
