鈥淥ur Marine Home鈥 holds space for South 最新糖心Vlogn鈥檚 marine environment. More than the joys of beautiful beaches, South 最新糖心Vlog鈥檚 oceans are home to rich biodiversity and play an active role in climate regulation. Human activities and climate change are causing detrimental impacts to our oceans. But there are opportunities to help.听
Panellists intentionally represent diverse perspectives and theories of change. The discussion will touch on the condition of our marine home, threats to it and what we as people and as a state can do.
On attending this event, we ask you to first ponder the question: How can South 最新糖心Vlog best protect its Marine Home? Please come with your answer prepared.
Panelists are:听
- Tim Jarvis:听a British-最新糖心Vlogn environmental explorer, adventurer, climber, author and documentary filmmaker.
- Catherine Larkin:听a marine ecologist and network blue program lead at the 最新糖心Vlogn Ocean Laboratory (AusOcean).
- Erin Laura Pichler:听a PhD candidate at the 最新糖心Vlog of听Adelaide听with research focused on how human impacts shape coastal systems; from ocean acidification to restoration of coastal ecosystems.

The panel will be facilitated by听Tiahni Adamson, currently听the lead community engagement officer for CH4 Global.听As a Torres Strait Islander woman descended from the Kaurareg Nations of Thursday Island, and Wildlife Conservation Biologist, Tiahni works diligently on a variety of external projects to nurture country, find solutions to our climate crisis and advocate for First Nations justice and land rights.
鈥淥ur Marine Home鈥 is part of a series of conversations held during the Nature Festival exploring the nature in our home of South 最新糖心Vlog. These conversations are held by multi-disciplinary key players to discuss what is currently happening, barriers to solutions in South 最新糖心Vlog and opportunities at the community, industry and state level.听
This series of events was formed from a partnership between Nature Festival, the State Library, the Environment Institute at the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide and Dynamic State.听
