Short Bio:
Anton Jordaan was originally trained as an accountant and tax specialist. Five years after setting up an accounting and tax consultancy, he sold his shares to his partners and set out to establish, grow and harvest a number of business ventures in the private education and training sector. In subsequent years, one of his businesses was acquired by a stock exchange listed company; and a few years later his business was involved in an IPO. Following the IPO he served as a director of this newly listed stock exchange listed company for a period of 2 years.
In addition to corporate strategic leadership and financial roles, Anton has 25+ years teaching experience in the delivery of education and training courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students and managers in corporations. He has delivered business improvement and capacity building courses in North America, UK, Europe, Africa, Asia and 最新糖心Vlog. Courses presented include Strategic Management, Project Management, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Accounting. Anton has been part of the MOOC team The 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide that has delivered the Introduction to Project Management, and the Risk Management for Projects MOOCS.
After completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting, he did an Honours degree in Accounting, Master of Commerce in Business Management, MBA, Master of Advanced Business Practice, and a PhD at The 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide. Anton is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor at The 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide’s Entrepreneurship Commercialisation and Innovation Centre (ECIC), as well as the Project Management Academy at QUT in Brisbane.Course Timetable

Students should be aware that considerable knowledge and skills will be taught during the course, and case studies will be an integral part of the learning experience. Hence, students should engage with all components of the course in order to pass the course.
Course results are subject to moderation by the ECIC Board of Examiners.Assessment Detail
Essay: the essay assessment will require students to investigate a particular project management topic and report their knowledge in respect to it. It will be for students to show how well they comprehend the role of the project manager and the usage of project management knowledge.
Project Report: the group report will require students to evaluate a real life project and discuss it in the context of project management processes, knowledge areas and associated tools and techniques. Students will be assessed on their understanding in respect to managing general project requirements.
Examination: the examination paper will be broad ranging covering all aspects of the course in respect to project management fundamentals. Students will essentially be assessed on their knowledge in respect to recognised project management principles and concepts.The specific requirements for each of the three assessments will be provided in detail in the course. There are a few points to note about the submission of assignments:
- Assignment Submission: Assignments should not be emailed to the instructor; they must be lodged via the MyUni Course site (unless specified to do both). Note that assignments may be processed via TURNITIN, which is an online plagiarism prevention tool.
- Cover Sheet: Please include in the assignment a completed 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide Assessment Cover Sheet providing details of yourself and your team members (if applicable), your assignment, the course, date submitted, etc. as well as the declaration signed by you that this is your (your team’s) work. Note that the declaration on any electronically submitted assignment will be deemed to have the same authority as a signed declaration.
- Backup Copy of Assignments: You are advised to keep a copy of your assignments in case the submitted copy goes missing. Please ensure that all assignment pages are numbered. If your assignment contains confidential information, you should discuss any concerns with the Course Lecturer prior to submission.
- Extensions of Time: An application for Assessment Extension should be made well before the due date of the assignment to the Course Lecturer. Normally, extensions will only be granted for a maximum of two weeks from the original assignment submission date. Extensions will only be granted in cases of genuine medical, compassionate or extenuating circumstances.
- Failure to submit: Failure to submit an assignment on time or by the agreed extension deadline may result in penalties and may incur a fail grade. Note that a late penalty of 5% of the total available marks for that assessment item will be incurred each day an assignment is handed in late (Unless otherwise stated in 'Assessment Related Requirements' or 'Assessment Detail' above). Assignments handed in after 14 days from the due submission date will fail even if a 100% mark is granted for the work.
Resubmission & Remarking
Resubmission of an assignment for remarking after reworking it to obtain a better mark will not normally be accepted. Approval for resubmission will only be granted on medical or compassionate grounds.Course Grading
